When it is Christmas

God of the Heavens

And Lord of the earth,

We give You our thanks

For Jesus Christ's birth.

Born in a stable,

So long, long ago,

Laid in a manger

Beneath the star's glow.

When it is Christmas,

At that time of year

Then knowing Jesus,

Banishes all fear.

For He came to save

All who would believe,

And His saving grace

Any can receive.

Angels came to tell

Of His wondrous birth.

Now we spread His word

Throughout all the earth.

If we celebrate

Christmas as we pray,

Christ's Holy Spirit

Close by us will stay.
